Addition to a 1930's cottage-style craftsman house, featuring an open floor plan with a chef's kitchen, new great room, complete second-floor addition, and a new detached carport.
The new second floor was placed under a steeper roofline to provide the needed additional space, while still preserving the scale and context of the single-story neighborhood. Non-historic architectural features from past remodels were removed, while original architectural features were incorporated and expanded upon with the new design.
